North Florida Regional Water Supply Partnership stakeholder committee to meet Dec. 12 in Lake City
PALATKA, Fla., Nov. 30, 2012 -- The stakeholder advisory committee of the North Florida Regional Water Supply Partnership will meet at 1 p.m. on Dec.12 at Florida Gateway College, 149 S.E. College Place, Lake City.
The meeting will be held in the Wilson S. Rivers Library and Media Center, Building 200, Room 102.
The agenda includes discussion and possible committee recommendation of the north Florida regional water supply boundary area. Other agenda items include:Consideration of the committee's updated work plan and meeting schedule Clarifications regarding water use data reporting terminology Overview of agricultural best management practicesReports on aquifer replenishment and water resource development strategySupport staff response to committee questions, if any, regarding the consumptive use permitting process and the need for sub-regional models in regional water supply plan development
The meeting is open to the public, and there will be an opportunity for public comment.
At the Oct. 29 meeting, the committee received presentations on water use data, a status update on the North Florida-Southeast Georgia Groundwater Model, and a proposed map of recharge/discharge and the regional water supply plan planning area.
