VIERA, Fla., Sept. 22, 2005 — The St. Johns River Water Management DistrictGoverning Board Projects and Land Committee will meet Thursday, Oct. 6, atthe Brevard County Government Complex for a discussion of the District’slocal restoration programs.

Topics slated for discussion include:

• An overview of the Upper St. Johns River Basin Project
• Land management projects from Lake Washington to State Road 46
• Natural Resource Conservation Service Restoration partnerships
• T.M. Goodwin and Broadmoor Marsh waterfowl management areas

The 6:30 p.m. meeting will be held in Building C, Space Coast Room (secondfloor), 2725 Judge Fran Jamieson Way, Viera.

The committee meets monthly prior to the regular meeting of the GoverningBoard at various locations throughout the District’s 18-county servicearea. The committee usually meets on the first Thursday of each month to getan overview and update on the District projects in the local area. The publicis encouraged to attend, and there will be an opportunity for public comment.
