PALATKA, Fla., Aug.6, 2004 — A controlled burn on approximately70 acres in the St. Johns River Water Management District’s SunnyhillRestoration Area is scheduled for Saturday. The restoration area is locatedin south Marion County.
The burn shouldbegin between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. and no road closings are anticipated.
The controlled burnis part of the District’s land managementprogram, and this one is a fuel reduction burn to protect against wildfires.
